Virtual Field Trips



Argument/Benefits

1. Virtual field trips are mostly free. Virtual field trips expose students by giving more insight to the outside of the four walls through concepts and content then in the classroom.

2. Virtual field trips help students find and explore fascinating real world images and videos to help borden students understanding and develop students own understanding through tours, videos, captions, etc.

3. Gives students opportunities  to see different countries, cities, states and space to explain how the world as a whole is made up of different societies and cultures and history.


Pre/post Assessment

1. Research to find out about a concept or content developing students understanding the culture and history.
2. Create a slideshow or presentation to enhance the content.

3. Have students find different artifacts/exhibits in a museums, landmarks etc. to develop and share new ideas and content of what students found.

How does the software differentiate between different learning styles?

Lessons are thematic and followed the pattern of pre-reading (see) the digital presentation (see and hear) and compression exercises (do).

How does the software increase skills in knowledge reinforcement concept development, and problem-solving? How?

The program encourages student mastery of the concept allowing the student to fix mistakes and further explore what they did not understand in the first place and allow them to learn from their mistakes.

How will you use this software in your classroom? why?

I  would you use this software to better identify where students are struggling and develop one on one instruction or small group instruction to help the student master the concept, not just memorizing and forget the information of the material they have synthesized the lessons on a deeper more meaningful way.
